Jeep Grand Cherokee WK

Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the spin-offs of Jeep generations to provide handling of the rugged terrains but in luxury. It's a mid-sized SUV that has stemmed out of the Cherokee series which was more on the compact side of SUVs but evolving as a Crossover in the marketing of Jeep.

Grand Cherokees have evolved from Jeep ZJ 1993, to WJ 1999, to the last generation of WK in 2005. WK has been revamped in 2010 but with high consistency that it's sometimes called WK2. You can read more on the history of here.

Stock angles (the larger the better):

SUVs are specialized moving machines. To navigate a difficult terrain, it must has good angles that minimizes the contact of its non-wheel part to touch the terrain. The numbers below give a strong indicator on how to evaluate SUVs in that field:

  • Approach angle: 34° (compare to JK's 44°)
  • Breakover angle: 20.5° (compare to JK's 20.5°)
  • Departure angle: 27° (compare to JK's 40.5°)
