Dear Ex-PYs,

As I have been receiving many questions on same topic, please allow me to
use this forum to explain about the current structure of SWY Course
Discussion.

------------------

Question received: does the Cabinet Office recruit ex-PY advisors from
overseas?
Answer: not anymore

------------------

Dear Ex-PYs,

This is an announcement about the upcoming SWY program:
Next Generation Global Leaders Program 2016 "The Ship for World Youth Leaders"

The invitation has been officially sent to the respective Japanese Embassies in the invited countries, and I believe the message has been conveyed to the government representatives.

The participating countries:
Federative Republic of Brazil
Canada
Republic of Costa Rica
Arab Republic of Egypt
Republic of Fiji
India
Japan
Republic of Kenya
New Zealand
Kingdom of Tonga
Ukraine

Tentative schedule in 2017:
Jan. 17/ Arrival of the OPYs
Jan. 18/ Orientation and welcome reception
Jan. 19 - 22/ Local program (homestay + local experience for OPYs)
Jan. 23 - 28/ Onshore Training Session
Jan. 29 - March 3/ Onboard Training Session
(Feb. 12-14: POC in New Zealand / Feb. 17-20: POC in Fiji)

Once again, we would like to express our deepest appreciation for your support shown towards the SWY program, which resulted to the Japanese Government's decision to have the ship visiting overseas ports again.

Let us continue working towards solidarity - SWY spirit forever.

Warm regards,
Tamae Saito
Secretary General
